For two holiday seasons, the beloved toilet paper brand “Charminized” twenty public restrooms in Times Square, providing clean, fully staffed facilities to hundreds of thousands of visitors.
Both years, Mars Design created an animated microsite and kiosk presentation to build buzz for the annual event. The promotional microsite featured two unique interactive features: The first, a kid-friendly game involving the brand’s “Call to Nature” bears, encouraged participants to throw rolls of bathroom tissue to the bears in the woods. The second, a “Flush-o-Meter” calculates results for a bathroom tissue debate of strong versus soft. An interactive worldwide map displayed real-time results, showing state-by-state and country-by-country data of visitor preference for type of toilet tissue.
